Our comprehensive programme includes a detailed site survey, risk assessment, and service proposal, followed by a 12-month agreement for regular maintenance. This includes quarterly inspections and annual thorough checks of all overhead cranes and lifting equipment, complying with MHSA, OHS, and SANS regulations.

Our inspections, adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, can be scheduled annually, quarterly, or monthly at a set rate, managed by our service division. We ensure timely reminders and convenient scheduling for inspections of below-the-hook lifting attachments, slings, lifting tackle, lifting machinery, runways, and structural components. Our highly qualified Lifting Machinery Inspectors and ongoing internal training enable us to offer preventive maintenance programmes that reduce downtime and prevent costly production losses. Our process includes a site survey, debriefing, risk assessment, thorough inspection, and a detailed review.

Load Testing

FB Cranes is your trusted partner for load testing, with certification as a Lifting Machinery Entity (LME) and certified Lifting Machinery Inspectors (LMIs) compliant with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act. Our expertise and calibrated equipment, including solid weights and water bags, enable us to perform load tests ranging from 250 kg to 150 tonnes. We ensure your cranes meet all legal requirements, including the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA), OHS Act, and South African National Standards (SANS). Load testing is required annually to comply with SANS standards, and more frequently for older or modified cranes, or those with major component repairs.
