Junior Safety Rep / Officer – Johannesburg

Overview

Health and Safety Officer to be based at our Johannesburg Branch.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide advice to support overall compliance with OHS legal requirements, including the OHS Act & Regulations, COIDA, SANS and SABS
• Conduct safety audits aligned with industry standards for overhead cranes
• Prepare and deliver project-specific safety files
• Draft and implement OHS policies
• Draft and implement risk assessments and safe work procedures
• Conduct incident investigations and report back to management
• Train and upskill client employees to perform monthly inspections and audit inspections
• Draft and implement emergency preparedness and response procedures
• Establish and facilitate safety processes
• Draft and conduct OHS inductions as per client requirements

Requirements

• Grade 12
• NQF5 Accredited OHS Certificate
• Demonstrated ability in MS Office
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle essential
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in Health & Safety
• Consulting experience advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the mining and industrial sectors
• Identify new business opportunities and actively pursue sales
• Provide technical advice and product support to customers
• Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs

Requirements

• 3–5 years' proven external sales experience, preferably within the mining or overhead crane industry. Extensive sales experience in related industries will also be considered.

• Self-motivated, target-driven, and passionate about sales
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout Johannesburg South and surrounding areas as operationally required
